Very well done. A worthy remake. All the characters were great. There will be a remake of Death on the Nile. The ending scene made reference to it. That will be cool. Poirot was wonderful. Branagh did him to the max. |

Isn't there a new remake of "The Lady Vanishes" too? |

I liked Brannagh as Poirot. Quite enjoyed it, but it does suffer a bit (in my mind) from being somewhat of a crossword puzzle. |

Poirot kept coming up with these connected backgrounds for this character and that one. On a stranded train in eastern Europe. I wondered where he was getting this new information. Probably back stories from the news media slowly oozing to the surface of his consciousness? Probably a quirk of Agatha Christie's writing style? Don't know, I don't read Agatha Christie. |

Saw it today and it was OK (I have seen the Albert Finny version when it was first at the theater and loved it and have seen that and all the other hundreds of times) I thought Branagh did a great Job as Poirot and his version of the mustaches grew on me (hahaha get it, dam I kill myself) A few things bothered me but nothing that was to bad. 1 After an avalanche I would be more scared of staying on a train that was derailed and on a train trestle than of the killer 2 I did not like the counts character at all and the Jackie Chan type fight at the beginning nor did I like Bouc part either, well to be honest I had trouble with most of them. A few clue were alluded to but I did not see them told in summation by Poirot(like the fact the he ratchet spoke no french) Oh well I could go on but I am nitpicky. Still all in all I would not say not to see it. |

Done to death. There were also the TV versions in 2001 and 2010. |
