Roy Halladay, 40, was killed when his ICON A5 plane crashed. Halladay was probably the best pitcher of his era, throwing for the Blue Jays and the Phillies. He was a winner and known for his ability to complete games in an era when that simply wasn't done. Apparently Halladay always had an interest in flying, but his baseball contacts strictly forbade it. So he took up after his retirement from the game four years ago. |
