Seth MacFarlane's space adventure series The Orville has been picked up for a second season by Fox. The decision comes seven episodes into The Orville‘s 13-episode first season. Because of the show's elaborate production and post-production, including visual effects, The Orville had been intended for a limited season, and the early renewal will give it a head start on Season 2 whose exact length is TBD…

Loved the first episode..then my wife and I decided modern Hollywood sensibilities were creeping in. And the attempts at humor weren't that funny. We've given up….. |

It has first rate production values. The humor is about 50/50.It seems to me that there is a move to more drama and less comedy in the later episodes. I'm glad it's been renewed. |

It's not the best, but I enjoy watching it. t certainly is better than a ton of other stuff out there, so I'm glad they picked it up. |

I'll be sure to MISS the second season as well since I have no interest in this show whatsoever. |
