Finally, it appears we've got a decent F1 racing competition amongst the drivers AND constructors.

Looking forward to this week's race.

My guess is Vettel for the win.

Red Bull. and Daniel, or Verstappen might even have a chance too, if the team doesn't sandbag them again with poor strategy.

I imagine the poll winner will finish first, if he doesn't crash, or get crashed into, and/or have a serviceability problem.

Place your bets………

Mercedes' long wheel base may count against them, especially as they don't have the power advantage anymore. BUT the previous races have shown that the Merc engine can really get it's power down quickly. You'll be able to throw a blanket over Mercedes and Ferrari.

The Red Bull's chassis will definitely like Monaco and the Honey Badger will want to make up for last year.

If McLaren really does have the third best chassis on the grid, it'll be interesting to see how they'll go. Especially with Jenson back on one of his favourite tracks. I'd like to see McLaren get some points.

Should be a fascinating race!

Free practice went according to plan, with Vettel number 1.

Mercedes are in 8th and 10th, and a full second off the pace, so things don't look good for them.

Red Bull is in the mix, as well as some of the lesser teams too. Seems the tight, slow track is conducive to leveling the playing field a bit.

It'll be interesting to see if Mercedes can get back in the mix for qualifying. I suspect if anyone can it will be them, but even the race pundits think things are looking pretty bad for Hami and his teammate.

Never read anything into Mercedes' early practice times! They always turn the wick up on Saturday.

Yes, but still, a very, very, slow start for them.

Perhaps they are indeed sandbagging………

Poor Hami seems to have had a rather off day.

Good to see the very close performance between all the others though, with the Red Bulls both looking rather racey, and both Ferraris on the front of the grid.

No doubt, the start should be rather interesting, and will probably decide who gets on the podium.

Hope it doesn't turn into a demolition derby/stock car race, with multiple crashes on the first 1/2 lap.

Finish, as predicted, though I was hoping for Kimi to win.

He needs a morale boost.

Poor guy. Very sad to see his heartbreaking loss today, after doing so much great work in qualifying, at the start, and in the first half of the race.

Not the best for Hamilton but better than I thought, but real glad for double points for Hass. The mid feild difference between construcors places can mean millions.

Getting down to the end, Vettel can win the WDC if he can win every race and thats no matter what Hammy does. But I expect Lewis to do well in Japan and the United States.

Ok, so the season is all but over now, but still looking at mid level races, Red Bull overtaking Ferrari and Haas doing better and staying over Renault
