Damn, such an amazing designer and all around great guy. He gave me so many good memories from Twilight 2000 to Sky Galleons of Mars.

He also convinced me to go into video games when I was just getting out of school and looking to get into games as a career.

Same here, Patrick. As I said on another forum..I would not be a tech writer if not for GDW and them giving me the writing bug early. The world is poorer for his having left it.

I am very sad to hear about his passing, GDW was the 1st company that started me into world of wargaming.

I remember chatting with him at Gencon when Traveller was first released as 3 black books in a box. I told him that TSR wished they had released Traveller as one of their products. A true talent in the gaming industry! RIP.
