While Mars is the topic on another thread, this is a nice blog that shows the work that is required to get a "photo" from Mars from Rover and satellite data. Makes you wonder how much artistic license is employed. Nevertheless, the pictures are stunning. Some look very Earth-like (Earth's more desolate landscapes). Still, the over all impression I get is "frozen Hell-hole".
