…running out of words.

Singer George Michael has died aged 53, his publicist has said.

The star, who launched his career with Wham! in the 1980s and later continued his success as a solo performer, is said to have "passed away peacefully at home".

Can't be denied the guy had a crazy life in his later years and took some major publicity hits as a result. Quite a few of which he could have steered clear of but there you go.

Still produced some great material over the years and after the Wham era showed everyone that he had a great voice and a whole range of style that gained a much wider following.

Here's hoping he finds some peace from what was a pretty troubled life all things considered.

How many days to 2017?

RIP, really liked most of his music.

Heart Failure, but no reason given. Declared "unexplained but not suspicious."

Never cared for his music. 53 is too young. RIP.

Have to admit in my youth I hated Wham with a passion but in later life nostalgia brought a new found appreciation for them.

Seems like 2016 was the year a lot of musicians wild youth caught up with them.

RIP George
