The guitarist from Rainbow and Deep Purple. Who knew!? |

He gets a lot of stick about it in the music press, but wiser heads say: "Well, he's doing what he wants to do and he doesn't care what anyone else thinks" and also "Ritchie Blackmore (71) and his wife Candice Night (45)…" It seems like complete hippy-Renaissance Fayre nonesense…but at least he isn't harming anyone. |

He's a lucky old dog,is what he is: youtu.be/emdFpbGWZkE Tell me you wouldn't "change your tune",and even wear a silly hat,for that. And I'm stuck with a crummy crumhorn. |

If you know anything about Ritchie's root (and Deep Purple's), he's always been interested in medieval, classical and blues music. He strapped on the old white Fender Strat0-caster this summer and reformed Rainbow for a monster summer tour. (MY CD/DVD of the tour will be in my mailbox tomorrow). YouTube link BTW, that's Spanish singer Ronnie Romero from "Lords of Black" doing the vocals, Ritchie personally chose him instead of Joe Lynn Turner. Rumors have it that a studio album may be in the offing…I hope! |

He said that was the first time he ever walked down the isle and did not feel like he was going to his own funeral. A truly lucky man. |
