My wife Melody passed away peacefully last Thursday afternoon with my son and I by her side at the hospital. We shared 37 wonderful years together. She gave much and asked little. She was an animal lover and delighted in feeding the bird and squirrel populations in our back yard and the occasional racoon and possum who came to visit. She cared for the many pets we have loved over these years as well as taking in and finding homes or adopting many strays who always seem to find us.

She was a loving woman, great stepmother for my son, my best friend and patient wargame wife. I will miss her here on earth, but we will always be together. She was the love of my life and I knew it from the moment we met.

My wargame friends, please enjoy the time you spend with loved ones. Life is incredibly too short.
