I know this is probably a long shot but here goes… The past few years my 14YO daughter has attended a program at Northwestern University, living in the dorm and taking classes for a few weeks. She loves it. We would like to find a similar program in the UK for high school students. We're looking for one that is actually university affiliated. There are lots of companies that run 2-3 week summer schools and use the university names, but when you dig you see they are simply renting space there and using the name. No actual affiliation at all. If you know of such a program I'd be grateful if you'd point me in the right direction. Pretty open to any location in the UK or even Ireland…. |

Have you also thought of Australia or NZ. If interested in Australia send me an email -- nick.bowler at gmail My wife is a teacher and may be able to help with opportunities at Australian and NZ schools. |

Some UK Universities do taster courses but these are for A level students (17 year olds). The official aim is to introduce the students to University life and study. I believe the real aim is to recruit students. |
