Wild game, no defensive coaching, just wild.

Was it me, or did both teams look like they had dozens of 25 year old monsters?

Both looked bigger and faster than the Dolphins or many NFL teams.

Hard to say. Crazy games like that are misleading.

Anyhoo, Charlie Skrong will be 3-2 in four weeks, and Texas fans will get what they deserve, another season with him.

ND, on the other hand? The Canes gotta get old skool an win in South Bend. The only thing stopping ND from the playoffs.

Can we win? Of course. "Zaire" and that other clown are no QBs, and ND has no defense. Big test for Richt.

Wild game indeed.

I checked in just after Texas' first score, evening up the game near the start. I briefly toyed with the idea of staying up to keep an eye on it, but went to bed instead. In my time zone, two overtimes ended up finishing about 4am. Enjoyed the highlight clips when I got up.

Both teams are going to have to find some defense for the rest of the season.

Buechele looks good for a freshman, I wonder how long he'll stick around. He's got a good arm, but he needs to learn.

3-2. You might be right. Young Texas team, hard to tell how they'll come along. But for now, we're enjoying the moment. There haven't been enough reasons to celebrate recently.

Hook 'em Horns!

Brutal hit on the ND receiver in the end zone. ND folks were upset. But it was clean. One camera angle is clear the UT safety turn his head away just before the hit, he led with his shoulder. They cracked helmets hard, but it wasn't intentional. It's football, it happens.
Hope he gets well (now that we don't have to play them again).

I remember back in the early '70s it was suggested that one NFL team shouldn't resign anyone and just sign the Notre Dame squad as replacements.

Charlie may have saved his job. We will see as season progresses. Great game though. What didn't happen? I guess a block punt and a safety.

I never knew that running back a blocked PAT was worth TWO points. I thought it was worth one point and if you runback a two point attempt it as worth two points. Live and learn.
