Wish we could get the same thinking here in southwestern Arizona where wild burros devastate the desert and spread disease to desert bighorn sheep. But no we have to protect them because "the are part of the old west" and besides they are kind of cute.

The island fox may itself be an introduced species. It just happens to be the one humans want to keep.

So, just playing god.

$5 USDM for 5000+ pigs. Over $900 USD per pig.

I'd have taken that job.

Hope that was all Nature Conservancy money.

Interesting article in spite of the loaded terminology.
