One way to avoid the 'pitcher's mound' effect.

I just keep watching the trailer and rubbing my hands together… it looks like a proper Gigantic ape movie (by the crew that did Godzilla recently) plus Samuel L Jackson plus John Goodman plus plus plus…

Kong is too big. Like the recent Godzilla movies things are out of control!

Shagnasty what didn't you like about Godzilla 2014?

For myself being a HUGE Godzilla fan I quite enjoyed the 2014 film unlike that steaming pile of crap from 1998 which has NO business being called Godzilla.

And if you recall Kong was too big in the 1960's King Kong vs Godzilla but in any event I'll still go see it and judge for myself.

Scale creep doesn't just affect miniature gaming! Godzilla's more than doubled in size since 1954, and Kong has to keep up if he's going to fight him in 2020. A 24' gorilla vs. a 300+' Godzilla wouldn't be much of a fight.

Technically, it's size creep. :) But still … meh. The only creep that bothers me is the one who decides to start running trailers for a movie I can't see for another 9 months.

Loved the recent American Godzilla 2014 movie and it helped to erase the memory of the pile of steaming hog poo that was the 1998 film. So +1 to Captian Gideon as I second his opinion on that one.

Now as far as this new Kong movie I am going to wait to see how it pans out. While the Peter Jackson Kong film attempted to be faithful to the original it was flawed in many ways with too much padding.

Summer Glau on the other hand looks even more radiant and gorgeous than ever so I am sure she will be a treat.

I enjoyed the 2005 King Kong immensely. I hope this one will be good, too, and of course, Summer Glau. Mmmm…

I did not like the 2005 King Kong for many reasons one big one is Jack Black his portrayal of Carl Denham didn't sit well with me he made that character a total sleazebag which he shouldn't have been.

And Adrian Brody I didn't like him one bit.

Something that makes me go awww? If the natives didn't want Kong to get to their village, why did they make the gate big enough for him to walk through? Huh.
