How Its Made will have an episode on about making Miniature Wargame Figures.

Also in the episode CNC Assembly Machines and Lemon Tarts.

Looks like it will air a couple times tomorrow and Monday

I saw the program and liked it very much. They talked about miniatures gaming and were very positive about it. They interviewed people from Perry.

Definitely "good press" for the hobby.

I'm guessing this was on one of the British channels? Any way to see it in the US?

Ran The Cid22 May 2016 11:04 a.m. PST

The Science channel has the show in the US.

Just watched it. As Tumbleweed said, they examined how the Perry's make miniatures. They did a quick passing for both Metal and Plastic miniatures from sculpting to molds.

It was kinda inspiring to watch the one brother sculpt minis with one hand and a prosthetic.

(minor gross nitpick about it was I really wish people would cut their fingernails when doing these type of videos)

Fascinating. I thought this was a very interesting show. You have to admire the skills of the miniature sculptors such as the Perry brothers. By watching it you can understand why figure prices are what they are.

In the US, science channel today May 23rd at 530 CST. last episode of the day it seems. Got it set to record.

Just watched this and it was very interesting but short. Did anyone else notice that they censored the confederate flag when showing off the box art at the beginning of the segment?

jfleisher31 May 2016 5:47 p.m. PST

I noticed it was blurred too.

I didnt see it from the beginning, so I didn't notice that. The PC is becoming ridiculous. It implies that reference to or use of historical artifacts, such as the flag, is not legitimate under ANY circumstances, which is idiotic. It equates wargamers, or reenactors for that matter, with racists supremacists, etc. Leave it to people in television to think that way.
