A game about building the most impressive castle, players compete against each other in this tile placing game with a twist. One player each turn takes on the role of a build master who decides the price of available rooms and players have to pay him to buy rooms. The build master acts last each turn but on the other hand he can squeeze his opponents for gold by making desired rooms expensive enough to make a profit but not too expensive to make them completely off putting. There are some nice mechanics and bonuses in how the rooms have to be placed and penalties for placing rooms of certain types next to others. You have to plan ahead in both layout, room availability and keep track of which rooms score you the most points (especially those rooms most desired by the mad king Ludwig and which are randomly generated with tokens at the start of each game). I quite like this game, but I wouldn't think it makes a good two player game. Have to agree about the graphics. Astoundingly poor for such a visual game from an established company.
