So my manager and I have agreed tomorrow will be 'Professional Thursday'. We will not banter, insult, laugh at anything in our conversations. Neither will there be double entendres. Or single ones come to that. Loser buys the first drink on Friday. I've already told her mine is a Long Island Ice Tea. |

She has a habit of saying something, then realising it can be taken completely out of context, so bursting out laughing. We normally arrive at work about 9:30 (I love flexi time), and we fully expect a winner to be declared by 10. |

I'm calling it a draw. She reckons I am unprofessional because I scratched my head. I ALMOST got her at one point- I could see all her face muscles go rigid, but she didn't crack. After we agreed it was over, I stopped in her office to show her something on my phone my son had sent me (a Firefly joke), and said, innocently "I can't get it up," (poor 4G connection) at which point she lost it. She said if I had done it 5 minutes earlier I would have won, but I pointed out that using the phone during work time would have been unprofessional. We are not continuing, because it is 'so so hard' |
