(Not that I really needed one. grin)

A study indicates that maple syrup may fight Alzheimer's. link

So order a stack and pour on the maple syrup, for your brain! Mmmm,,,,
(And make certain it's honest-to-goodness maple syrup, not that imitation garbage.)

Interesting! And after my now-sainted Mom's passing five years ago this month, it appears that Alzheimer's and/or dementia is in my family's health history.

Parzival – Just be sure to leave one for the bunny!

Saginaw – sorry for you Mom's passing and the hereditary possibility. You might want to look up the books written by Tom DeBaggio (personal friend) who was taken by Alzheimer's.

There hasn't been any in my family but there have been some forms of dementia late in life.

In my prayers,

JJ

PS – there is hope for those who just can't seem to make a good pancake themselves at home:

My folks send us a jug of pure maple syrup every Christmas. Now when I have my pancakes or french toast or just pour some over an open-faced peanut butter sandwich (mmmmm), I can claim "it's for medicinal purposes!"
