Saw this band live a few nights ago (OK, about a month ago) at The Viper Room in Hollywood.

They opened for the band I was there to see, BUT, they really rocked the house, turned me into a fan (bought the EP), and I wanted to share. Enjoy…

Nope. No thanks.

Aww, c'mon Naz… Too loud?

Or not "metally" enough?

Mardaddy,

I'd be curious how much different they are live (volume, sound quality, stage presence) as opposed to the linked tracks.

May just be my mechanical ears (courtesy of the VA) but I thought the recording did not sound like studio quality recordings.

I think their style sounds like '80s rock.

Don't hate 'em, thanks for the links.

JJ,

The Viper Room is a very small venue (maybe 250 max cap) with a very small stage, so that is my experience with them.

Volume/sound quality: Loud and vocals clear, my opinion bass could have been deeper (but I love bass.)
Stage presence: small stage, so not much room, they were not standing still, but neither were they bumping into one another, each had their own stage-style moves and the lead guitar (sporting a large Mohawk) is really comfortable with himself and his licks. Rivaled the vocalist for front man.

YouTube does have many videos of them live at other larger venues if you are interested in checking them out there.

They ended their set with a medley of classic 70's rock songs meshed into one.

Too metally. It's not bad, just not for me.

Thanks!

My kid brother (in my humble, unbiased and thoroughly objective opinion) is a great drummer who was blessed/cursed by location – upstate NY. He'd get a band together, they'd play some gigs and just when it looked like things would solidify, someone would leave. Been like that (and still ongoing) since the late '70s.

Had he been blessed by being in L.A. or someplace like that I'm convinced he's good enough that he would have made it into a major group – and likely be dead from the lifestyle by now.

Pretty radio-rock. Sounds like it'd make for a fun live show.
