Has anyone else had this problem? This is twice now, on five different searches, in two locations and different computers, that Google has just not searched. I typed in the search terms, hit the search button or enter and . . . nothing. Just a big white screen. I had to look something up on Bing. I know it was Halloween but still . . . |

I'll ask Kevin, Scott. I'm sure he'll KNOW the answer….. |

I don't know why I didn't look there first. Don't ask Kevin, Dave. I'm sure he has enough on his plate as it is. |

My 13-year-old son had that issue recently. Chrome searches bring back white screen, but if he pastes same URL into IE it comes up. We have assumed his local Chrome profile is corrupt. I didn't have time to look at it, then he reported he'd fixed it. Think it was roundabout way chasing some red herrings: Uninstalled antivirus software or something, got it working, reinstalled different antivirus software. Quick search using keywords "chrome search blank page" brings back a few hits. Ignore the ones that aren't from 2015; there was apparently a similar bug in 2012 that was fixed by Google patch release. For the current issue, some people report if they hit Refresh on the blank page it will bring up their search. Also apparently Incognito mode works OK. Best root cause diagnosis seems to be corrupted history, and fix is to clear history data. Home that helps. |

Wife had same issue on our Windows 8 box. The tech support call resulted in her going back into the Chrome set up and reset it to defaults. She then had to add in the "Show Home" button on the on the set up. |

Yeah I have had the same issue. But, like CeruLucifus, if I type in the URL in IE it will work. |
