"Smart" search felt compelled to ask me if I meant "acappella" instead of "a cappella". No, I meant to spell it correctly.

Actually I read a couple of erosion control plans where the construction foreman was to 'regard' the various drainage ditches as necessary after a major storm. Thought the first instance was just a misspelling, then found them throughout the plan. Added 'regrade' to the word processor dictionary.

Spell checks with limited vocabulary are worse than not having one.

Of course one should be smarter than the spell check…
