Author, adventurer, and former mercenary leader Thomas Michael "Mad Mike" Hoare is still very much alive and turns 95 today. Tough old boot!

He's been keeping a low profile. He recently narrated most of his books on Audible.com (shameless plug: I absolutely loved listening to "Three Years with Sylvia" link ) and published a new book (to absolutely zero fanfare; I only found out about it by accident) called "Last Days of the Cathars." link |
