If it all went down like they said would there have been any naval ships to survive? Subs and small vessels that can button up and ride it out.

Wasn't it basically "When Worlds Collide"? Not sure of the pressure that might surround a sub when a tsunami passes.

I read somewhere there was supposed to be a sequel about the Arks settling in Africa.

If subs go deep enough they may survvie a huge tidal wave, its the other seismic activity that could do them in.

Pockets of humanity could survive but not for long with that level of devastation.

Unless they have really good planes…
