Yesterday, well Monday now, took the tiles off the wall- only three rows, but still- and then plastered the damage caused. Emptied then took the wall cabinets down

Tuesday – sanded, painted the ceiling and walls. Cleaned work surfaces so I could cook dinner for the kids. Washed up then tiled and grouted, including behind both fridge and freezer. Cleaned up again. Its now 3 am, and I've just finished.

Tomorrow (today?) Paint doors, and any bits of the wall I missed, where the tiles didn't come up as high as expected.

Thursday – B&Q for argument about what new cabinets I can afford.

This week's leave is killing me. I need to get back to work.

Wednesday also included scrubbing the floor clean after the abuse its suffered.

"Can you paint the inside of these doors as well, and rule all the way into the corner (behind the fridge) in case we ever move it (to where) or get an undercounter fridge (which is years away when the kids leave home at the earliest)

That's happening tomorrow – I ache all over.
