Well, according to Dr. Hassan, it wasn't coached: link But who knows. My son had a friend in middle school whose brother was sent to college at a very young age because he is a bona fide mathematical prodigy, so I know that kids like that exist. There was also a young man in our local club who may be something of a prodigy. From a very young age, he's consistently beaten just about every other player in the place, the little bastard*. Speaking to him, you'd have to keep reminding yourself that he wasn't an adult, as articulate as he was. He's gone off to college in another state now, but may be a TMP member. The other Austinites will know instantly who I'm talking about. *Meant in the best possible way. |
