Wow.

"Light My Fire" absolutely blew me away in '67. Still does, in fact, as does all of their discography.

RIP, Ray.

I love his music. I discovered the Doors in the early 80's, music still was amazing. A band who's sound as continued through the years.

Rest In Peace.

Say hello to the Lizard King.

RIP a great influence on my life. I hope he and Jim are now smoking a giant spliff together.

I loved his performances with BOC. I agree that he was the real musical talent in the Doors. It does take more than musical talent to make it in the music industry unfortunately.

Thanks for all the tunes Ray!

I don't think a lot of people appreciated how good he was.

Many folks not around at the time still don't realise that for the majority of their songs The Doors never had a Bass player and all the iconic bass riffs and organ lines were Ray Manzarek playing keyboard bass with his left hand and the organ part with his right!

God alone knows how he kept that together and figured out what Morrison was up to at the same time!

One of the greats. A real shame.
