Just to save you the tedium of watching Second Second Assistant Director and Second Unit Catering Staff credits to see if there's anything interesting at the end – no, there's not. Went to the show last night – The first new Trek, followed by Into Darkness at 12:01 AM. Lots of fun, some nice nods to the Original Series and the movies based on the Original (i.e., not the Next gen. movies). Sometimes schmaltzy, lots of action, lots of stuff getting blowed up real good. |

Thanks for the spoiler-free mini-review. That will save me from sitting through the credits. I hope to see it soon! Ron |

I saw it today. I really enjoyed it. Didn't care too much for the previous re-boot, but this one was good. |

Glad I saw it. Worth every dime. And my local theater just raised prices again too! link |

I liked it much more than the first one. After seeing it on Sunday, watched the first film again. Still don't care much for it. But Into Darkness was an exciting romp. |

After thinking about it all weekend, I will go back and see it again in IMAX. The soundtrack is good too. |

Should have read this – we sat through the credits. Much better than the 1st film (could hardly have been worse !). However, can someone explain the point of Spock ? In the original Trek universe he was torn between being a perfect Vulcan, and the power of his human emotions. Made for a memorable and iconic character. Not so the Spock in the new Trek universe – when he isn't crying he's snogging Uhuru or bellowing with rage and looking for someone to punch. He may as well be a 100% human – all he has left is a slightly wearying pedantic streak. |
