I think we should wait untill they fly more like in The Jetsons. No propellors, none. |

Given that the rotors of this thing are electric – that is an easy modification – perhaps increasing the size. I guess we wait and see what they finally come out with in a decade or so! |

Great, now I will have to pick up trash off my roof from people throwing it out the windows. Not the mention the lit cigarettes. |

Two words, overhead powerlines. |

I had a dream where I was trying to fly a classic WW2 era plane— no, I don't recall which one, or even if I dreamt of an actually existing plane— and the power lines kept getting in my way. On the other hand, my neighborhood has underground power lines, so the take-off and landing sequence would at least be safe(r). |

Parzival – 'safe(r)' or just less 'risk(y)' ? |

The way I see it, all the FAA regulations will pretty much doom a flying car. It's not like you'd be able to buy one and drive/fly it off the lot. Once you had this little bad boy, do you know how close you can legally get to Boston Logan or JFK? If you're travelling due North at say something like 3,000 feet above the ground are there altitudes you need to use? Let's say you decide to take your wife out for an evening dinner: what are the general restrictions for flying at night? When is it "night"? And, can you have a glass of wine with dinner? |
