With great sadness I just read of his passing and it brought a flood of memories of his films back . I will always be greatfull to hom fr what he brought to the screen . I would be shocked of anyone on the board not to have seen at least one of his films . As a tribute list your Favorite Harryhausen Film ( not that there are any bad ones) Mine is the Beast of 20000 fathoms Where the radio active isotope kills the monster at cooney Island . |

Sorry, can't do just one. So, Jason and the Argonauts, and all the Sinbad adventures he and Charles Schneer did. |

The Valley of Gwangi followed closely by 20 Million Miles to Earth. Gwangi and the Ymir, awesome. Honorable mention to Mysterious Island, if only for the incredible scene of the gigantic honeybee attacking and then sealing up Herbert and Elena in the honeycomb. What a great scene! YouTube link |

Like Rrobbyrobot, I can't pick just one. I can say that I was fortunate enough to have seen three of his movies at my local drive-in theatres back in the day. And as most TMPers might know, drive-ins are amongst one of my most biggest passions! I saw 'The Golden Voyage of Sinbad' and 'Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger' at the Fort Worth Twin in 1974 and 1977, respectively. I also saw 'Jason and the Argonauts' at the Belknap in 1977, which was billed that evening with the 1976 dystopian sci-fi movie 'Logan's Run'. Thank you, Mr. Harryhausen, for sharing your creativity and bringing it to life. |

The one(s) with the (stop-action?) skeletons. Very cool. |

Agronauts – Talos was superb. Sinbad and the eye of the tiger – simply because it was the only one I saw at the cinema. Apart from Clash of the Titans – but I didn't like the clockwork owl. I'd watch any of them in a new delhi minute. |

altfritz – all the Sinbads, agronauts, titans etc were "family entertainment" which in those days meant a love interest for mum, action for the kids and "something for dad".
