Just ran across a show on netflix called Copper.
Thought it was preety darn good.

Set in 1860s New York City, this gripping crime series centers on rugged Irish cop Kevin Corcoran, who works the notorious Five Points neighborhood -- and who's on a mission to learn the truth about his wife's disappearance and his daughter's death.

Very gritty but interesting.

I watched a couple of episodes. The first episode wasn't bad but then everyone went around doing pretty much the same thing in the second episode. It seemed like it had a lot of promise that it didn't live up to by becoming cliched very quickly.

Maybe I just watched the wrong two episodes but based on what I saw it was a little lame.

Looked interesting at first but the camera man had the shakes. – could not finish the first episode without Dramamine.

Wow… I despise shaky cam and didnt notice any at all, the first episode had a chase and shootout in a winding ally where they used a few quick cuts but I dont recall any of the twitching shaky cam. I even thought the CGI was well done.

I'm up to episode 7 and have enjoyed them all, especially the boxing match and the poisoned fruitcake mystery.

I guess I'm just queasy! Maybe I should try it again.

I liked it and one of the things I really enjoyed is that by the end of the first series answered all the questioned raised during the season. Hate it when shows have the long drawn out plots that go unanswered.

I enjoy the show, specifically the epsoide on the south trying to start fires all over new york.
