Sorry to hear , she has been in bad health for a while so not unexpected. To many of us over a certain age seeing Annette on TV was a special treat and was a good reason to watch Mickey Mouse Thank you dear lady for all the joy you have given to people RIP |

Oh wow
I knew she'd been ill for quite a while but it's still a shock to hear. I always liked seeing her in things, which is kind of surprising because she's really not my brand of entertainment. |

Sad day no dancing on the beach today |

Oh, Annette, so sad to see you go. And much too close to my own age. |

Never let a young'un report this kind of news. He said she was in her Beach Blanket movies with Frankie Vallie (clip of interview correctly shows Frankie Avalon), then at the end he tries to correct it 'The clip we showed you was actually Frankie Avalon, another long time friend, but she starred with Frankie Valli in the movies.' I realize we're not talking Margaret Thatcher here, but, please, get it right. |

They don't make Disney Princesses like Annette any more. |

My brother (who'll be 64 next month) once told me that when he was growing up one of the women he would've liked to have married was Annette Funicello. I first saw her on the original 'Mickey Mouse Club' when a local tv station reran it in the '70s. One of her great professional attributes was that she successfully maintained that "girl next door" image all throughout her career and never compromised it, despite the changing times. To me, in addition to her natural beauty, that's what made her undeniably attractive. By the way, does anyone remember her appearances in the Skippy Peanut Butter commercials from the late-'70s to the mid-'80s?: YouTube link Godspeed, Ms. Funicello, and thank you very, very much. |

I remember her in re-runs. But I remember her well in both the movies and on the Micky Mouse Club. Rest in peace and thanks for the memories Annette. |

I was far too young to remember her in the original run of the Mickey Mouse club but I do remember seeing her in the re-runs. She was indeed a cutie, and the "Girl next door" that we all wanted to grow up with. Its kind of a shame, but she's finally at peace now. Godspeed Ms. Funicello and many thanks dear lady. |
