NOBODY likes the US version!

Never heard of it!

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER07 Apr 2013 8:05 p.m. PST

They like Clarkson because he punched Piers Morgan! Duh…

goragrad07 Apr 2013 10:34 p.m. PST

Nah. Apparently they like the irreverent humor – complete opposite of what they hear from Ahmedinejad. That and having a love affair with cars.

P.S. Hadn't heard about the Morgan 'hit.' Makes me like the more….

Jeremy Clarkson is a first rate entertainer and one of the most superb idiots I have ever seen. And I mean that as a compliment.

Factual ?

Clarkson is an arse.

(He likes balance, doesn't he ?)

AndrewGPaul08 Apr 2013 4:53 a.m. PST

I quite like the US version. grin It's more about actual car stuff than the original, though.

Lentulus08 Apr 2013 5:04 a.m. PST

I like the UK version; its a hoot.

jtkimmel08 Apr 2013 6:10 a.m. PST

Watch the UK version all the time, watched the US version once and turned it off after 20 minutes.

Prefer the U.S. version to the U.K. one, it has a lot to do with the personalities of the hosts.

RavenscraftCybernetics08 Apr 2013 7:53 a.m. PST

I was expecting a link to HC's Ancient Aliens.

zoneofcontrol08 Apr 2013 8:14 a.m. PST

Love the US version! Watch it often. That's coming from a guy who doesn't watch a whole lot of TV.

Pictors Studio08 Apr 2013 9:30 a.m. PST

I've never seen the American version, I didn't even know one existed. The UK version is the only show that I've seen about cars that I haven't instantly turned off. It is very funny at times.

And on that bombshell…

Altius08 Apr 2013 11:35 a.m. PST

I've never seen the US version, but the British version is great. Jeremy Clarkson is funny. I nearly died laughing during the Reliant Robin episode.

Even the Aussie one is better and funnier than the US one. However, it's a good show in it's own right, but the chemistry between the three presenters (Clarkson, May and Hamster) is what really makes the show. It's just three men playing with big boy toys, Bleeped text about, drinking beer and playing practical jokes on each other. It's all so British too. It's the only thing really that makes paying the BBC a license fee vaguely worthwhile and I love it.

I think the BBC is engaging in a little self promotion. If you use the number of countries as a criteria then they are OK. If you go by numbers of viewers the China Central Television 7PM newscast was being watched by an average of 500 yes 500 million a night. It may be less now by law it has to be shown on every TV station in China at the same time
