What would be the best downloadable media catcher out there right now, in terms of ability to capture seemingly "uncapturable" online videos? Also, I'm looking for one that DOESN'T have all those unnecessary add-ons (Bing toolbar, Silverlight, etc.). Oh, and did I mention, something that's FREE? Thanks, all! |

YTD video downloader does a pretty decent job. Just unclick the toolbar options when installing. |

Wouldn't something like Bandicam or FRAPS do the job? It might tax your computer a bit more, but it should be able to directly cap whatever is displaying on your monitor. |

Little Big Wars, what do you mean exactly by "tax"? Video capture is pretty hardware intensive because it uses your videocard(s) GPU to do most of the work. A dedicated video capture card would make this much easier, but you should be able to make it work with a halfway decent card or two. There's just no telling what quality level/FPS you'll get in the finished product. Doesn't really satisfy the "free" requirement, but they're not super expensive as software goes
