'Possible SPOILER' ALERT************************** That could explain the new companion, she's a Zygon in human form. Her other 'incarnations' were other Zygons, also in the form of Oswald. The real Oswald is somewhere captive being used as a template. They are hoping one of them get's picked up by the Doctor as his companion, to further their nefarious scheme "whatever that is".
