Can anyone recommend a decent hotel at a reasonable price near or better yet, in DC. I'm taking the family there over spring break to see the usual stuff, the mall, monuments, Smithsonian etc.

The week before Historicon last year, the Elmo family atayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Reagan National Airport. You can fly into Reagan, airport has shuttle, and you are within walking distance to the metro which can take you into DC |

If you want to be close to everything and walk to anything around the Mall, I would recommend the JW Marriott in the Penn Quarter. It's nice, safe, and perfect for sightseeing. |
