link And not just for teensy weensy spaceships or single atoms: 'They appear to match variations predicted by "inflation", a theory that says the universe briefly expanded faster than the speed of light an instant after the Big Bang. Inflation is vital to our current understanding of the universe.' |

I'd note that "inflation" is the growth of space itself, not any "thing" traveling faster than the speed of light *in* space. |

Also at that point light and matter were one and the same, so there wasn't any light. |

Just another concept designed to make the fondly cherished equations come out right. Like Ptolemaic epicycles. |

If God wanted us to travel FTL, He would have put warp engines up our bums! |

Ofcourse FTL is possble, you got warp, hyperspace, hypertravel ect. ect. or you can just move the universe around the ship, while the ship is still. All this has been proven in verious documentaries like Star Trek, StarGate, Baboylon 5 and futurama. |

Actually Star Trek warp IS possible. Nothing can move faster than light, so you encase the ship in a bubble of absolute nothing, and move that (no really) Only down side is to move the ToS Enterprise means using ALL the energy in Universe has to offer
