I saw her in concert several times. Once with Andrew Gold as backup, once with Warren Zevon as backup, and once with what became a large part of the eagles as backup. Saw her and Emmy Lou Harris in Houston when Jerry Jeff Walker was the opening act. Walker had to be led off the stage after his second song before he hurt himself falling off the stage. |

She is not a R&R HoF Inductee. Complete list is here : link |

But then – the RoR HoF is a bit of a crock, ain't it ? Louis Armstrong ? Herb Alpert ? Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys ? Dinah Washington ? All fine people in their own ways – but Rock ? Really ?? Earth Wind and Fire ? – So Disco/soul-funk is Rock ? Should just be The Popular Music Hall of Fame. |

Enjoy the songs. Never mind the rest. Halls of fame. Halls of shame. Who cares. Aint one of 'em worth the powder it takes to blow 'em to hell. |

The Moonglows are in but not The Moody Blues. The Rock and Roll HOF may be the worst HOF ever!!! |

To be fair, Herb Alpert is in there because he founded A&M Records, which was a very influential label. And yes, the Hall really is a crock, even though I don;t give a hoot about Ronstadt. |

Rock and Roll Hall of SHAME and Infamy! No Deep Purple
though of course they're up for nomination this year because Jon Lord finally died
could have had the entire band on stage
what some 14 members throughout their life
a year ago, but blew that didn't they. No Moody Blues
sacrilege! |

I don't care very much for "Hall of Fames", they're necessarily arbitrary and superfluous – if everyone already knows you're name, why do you need to be in the HoF? And if no one has ever heard of you dos it make sense that they first hear of you because you're inducted into the HoF? But that woman can sing. Top five ever. |

Is she in the country music HoF (or Grand ol' Opry chamber of superstars, or whatever it's called) ? |

I fell in love with Linda when she was with the Stone Poneys ("Different Drum," written by Mike Nesmith). Later, I thought she was a phenomenal solo singer, and "Long Long Time" is a definite heartbreaker. I saw her in concert once, back in the early '80s. What a great singer. Many awards, but no Halls of Fame of any kind. link |

My mistake, she was a 2007 inductee into the Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame. |

Good for Arizona, then. Local girl makes good. |

As some pompous Roman Senator or another said, "I would rather have the people wonder why there are no statues of me, than ask why there are." |

That was one sharp Roman Senator. Indeed. Fess up John – was it you ? |

It was Pliny the Cato, or Cato the Censor, or Censor the Spiny. One of those guys. |
