I have the Samsung tab2 – very happy with it and looks the same as my Samsung galaxy note phone which I use sometimes as a wifi hotspot and my tablet is on the internet from any location.
I don't know anything about the other device but I have seen the kindle fire and in my opinion is not in the same league as the Samsung. |

I have a Nexus 10 and am very happy with it. It's made by Samsung so the build quality is the same, the difference being the tweaks to Android on the two devices. That I can't help you with, but I don't think you'll be disappointed with either. |
