I keep running across this, both in the books and in the HBO series. F'rinstance
In the series, Stannis corrects the Onion Knight on the correct use of "less" and "fewer". Right away, I cheered for him over Renly. I just read in FoC a girl said that her father was hung. "Hanged", his mother corrects her. "Your father was not a tapestry." How can you not love that? Those are only two. I shall leave the unearthing of other examples for the diligent student of the books and series. I will admit that it is not as prevalent as goat grease dribbling down your chin into your beard, or wiping your mouth on your sleeve, but it's there. |

Maybe if he stops the grammar stuff he might finish a book 5 years earlier than usual. -- Tim |

Not withstanding jpattern, I feel the need to read him now. |
