You hear mention of good cops but that's an example of a great cop. Robert |

A wonderful story. The positive side of living in a fishbowl. Thanks for posting. |

I'm glad his action was noticed. He just did it because somebody needed help. That's what cops do, they help people. Even still there are people out there that make comments like this. "I still have a grudge against law enforcement everywhere," wrote one commenter on the police Facebook page. "But my respects to that fine officer." If Patrolman DePrimo's kindness had not been witnessed, gone un-noticed, but 20 minutes he was seen to be given a cup of coffee to keep help him stay warm, the writer above most likely have made a comment about a worthless donut eater. The general public has no idea what cops go through in the course of their careers. What they see and what they have to do. Most people couldn't do it. Good for him that this was recognized. Stay safe. |

"Mr. Cano volunteered to give the officer his employee discount to bring down the regular $100 USD price of the all-weather boots to a little more than $75 USD" Pity the shop were not as kind hearted as the officer
. The officer has kept the receipt in his vest since then, he said, "to remind me that sometimes people have it worse." |

There's lots of good LEO's out there, who really believe in the 'serve and protect' motto. |

God bless and protect that officer, and those like him. |

Thanks for the comments Oddball and others. As an LEO of 17+ years I can tell you that acts of kindness like the one noted above are done by my fellow officers everyday. The difference is there is usually no one around to film or document it. On behalf of the LEO community I appreciate the above support. It means a lot to us. Cheers. U.K. |

A similar thing happened in my home town when a bus driver stopped his bus, took off his shoes and gave them to a barefoot homeless man. |
