Ok, so Iīm at the train station on my way home and I see a temporary stand selling dvds at the amazingly low price of around 50 cents a pop. And what do I find, but the Japanese movies Port Arthur and Tsushima. Yes! So for about a buck I go home with my new treasures.
I thought it would be good fun to watch these on my daily commute, and so I put them in the pc in order to transfer them to my flash. BUT, my pc didnīt recognize either dvd at all, and neither did any other pc in my house. My dvd player plays them just fine, but the pc is a no go.
So what with that? Is there anything to be done? I looked on the package and discs for more info, but they give no clue, so I am totally flabbergasted at this point. Anyone have any ideas?

It may just be that your PCs are just a bit more sensitive, Jack. I've had a few from the trafika that did exactly the same. I put it down to them not being recorded on very high quality discs.

Thanks Chris, I imagine thatīs what it is. I bought them at Hlavni Nadrazi for ten crowns each, so what should I expect? Oh well, I will be relegated to the spare bedroom where the dvd player is this weekend. It should be interesting, Japanese with Czech subtitles. Wanna bring the popcorn? :)

Well seeing as I should be able to understand both languages, I'd love to :) Actually I may pop out to one of the local DVD emporia in Brno (over 8000 titles! all of them rubbish!) and see if I can get hold of what you bought – I haven't seen them on offer in any of the trafika yet.

Thereīs more at Hl.N., let me know if I can pick them up for you.

Hook your DVD player up to your computer and see if you can import them in that way – worth a shot.
