Hi Everyone,
I am off to Dublin early November. It is work so I won't have much time free. Nay suggestions for wargames related things and beer related things.

There are wargames clubs but I've no details sadly.

A few years since I have been to Dublin, but I enjoyed the city very much. From what I remember, ANY drinking establishment will provide a solid evenings entertainment and the people are extremely friendly and obliging. For some reason the best pint (actually five of them) of Guinness I had was at Dublin airport waiting for my delayed flight home.

Wargaing – Gamer zone, 2 minute walk from o'connell bridge. Beside a nice shopping centre if the other half needs to be diverted for a while

History , Natural history museum and National history museum are 5 minute walk apart. Some lovely bronze age stuff in the national.

Pub would depend on what time you like, there are a few to choose from.

If you let me know where you will be staying, I could suggest what is closest to you.

Yes, the museums kreoseus2 mentions are great. Don't miss them! All the treasures from all around the countryside are gathered at the National. The gold hordes are very impressive, but also the other displays are terrific. A nice ship on the upper floor, and the monastic artifacts make for a fantastic place for history buffs. These are "smallish" museums, and you can see the highlights in a quick visit, or if time permits, there is enough interesting details to merit a longer stay.
The only thing to disappoint for me when I visited in November is the lack of traditional music. Those musicians are off elsewhere making money in the "after tourist" season.
