I want to a friend to have access to a 350 page pdf/docx, without emailing. Is there a place on line I can put it for them to pick up as and when.

Thanks

Sign up for Dropbox; or if your a Mac type try SugarSync which those people tend to like more.

Nope – us Mac types are all over Dropbox as well! :) I use it every day for work and non-work stuff – can't recommend it highly enough!

Dropbox is great, I never have to email stuff to myself anymore. I've got a Mac and two PC's linked to my Dropbox account and have never had a problem.

If you've got a Google ID (for Gmail or Blogger, among other things), then you can use Google Drive, too.

There is also Ubuntu 1 as well. I use it in addition to Dropbox. It has the advantage that you can specify multiple folders on your drive that you want to sync.

Cheers.

Thanks, but I'm not sure this is the sort of thing I need. Basically I want to post a file on line, and they access via a password, that doesn't require downloading anything (I have Google Drive for myself, and Dropbox appears to need the same)

I suppose I'm after Flickr for documents.
