Which means that we will have cloudy weather and rain in Northeast PA for a few weeks… grin
We miss all the eclipses, meteor showers and aurorae…

December? Feh. Lousy time for skywatching around here. Why can't it come in July? Not a cloud in the sky (and being outside at night is pleasant, rather than cold & wet).

But if the Mayans were right, then we won't be here anyway…..

A comet? I predict earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, fires, wars, disasters and economic upheaval for 2013… just like every other year.

2013? As in 13?! That comet won't be passing the earth. It will be going right through!

There once was a girl named Aurora
who dated a comet explorer;
he launched off one night
to explore the great light
and became the first man on Aurora.

I recall seeing that comet that passed by back in the mid or late '90s. I was at Penn State at the time, and after a party…
