I always thought that it went…
"Jenny was sweet.
She always smiled for the people she meet
I'm trouble, let's drive…"

Ya know, I like my version better.

I always thought that Blondie sang about "Jewish lies" in "Heart of Glass" and Men without Hats sang "African Imbecile".*
Feafully, non-PC wrong, but until Youtube with Lyrics came along, that's the way I heard them. Again with the 'ya know', does it sond better with the REAL lyrics, instead of the shocking way I first heard them?

*"Loves true bluish lies" and "Act like an imbecile"

When I was a little boy I thought for sure that Roy Orbison was saying Tony Baloney, rather than Only the Lonely. I still sing it like that in the shower to this day.

My wife thought that creedence clearwater were singing "There's a bathroom on the right". Althought the best on I ever heard was someone thinking that ELO was singing about a "Medieval woman". Scary thing is, now that's what I hear now!
