I am asking anyone who respionds to this thread to exercise MAXIMUM SELF CONTROL! Without going into politics, I am asking you to ponder this: "If I were to confine myself to only the Artists with whom I agree politically, I would be missing out on
" So, I am asking you to ONLY post an artist's (or group's) name with whom you DISAGREE 100%, and a Youtube link. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE A POLITICAL STATEMENT OF ANY KIND. YOU MAY ONLY POST THE NAME AND THE LINK!!! I will start this out with Crosby, stills and Nash, Southern Cross, one of the greatest introspective pop songs ever written. YouTube link And of course, Bonnie Raitt, Something to Talk about, a fun sexy mischeivous song. YouTube link George Clooney, I am a Man of Constant Sorrow. YouTube link Yeah, yeah. I know. that's not him singing. that's Dan Timinski. See what I would be missing? ANYONE STUPID ENOUGH TO GET HISSELF DHed OVER THIS HAS NO ONE TO BLAME BUT HISSELF!!!! |

Anything by Rage Against the Machine, I suppose, but I'd really be missing out on Corrosion of Conformity which I listen to far more often. |

Honestly most of what I listen to is by folks who hold I don't agree with politically. @Pictors: Old CoC (Animosity type) or the newer? |
| OldGrenadier at work | 27 Sep 2012 4:38 a.m. PST |
I tend not to pay much attention to the politics of musicians. If I like their music, I like their music, regardless of politics. Same for actors. If I like their work, I like their work. |

Quite Surprisingly
.Hank Williams. Didn't have him down as a
. . Post 1970 Frank Sinatra (not such a great loss) Neil Young for most of the eighties (no great loss there either in fact – just about all his worst albums date to this period. Coincidence ?) |

excluding an artists work due to politucal concerns seems very small minded to me. |

Many artists barely made it out of high school, but somehow think they are experts on all things in the world. I would not exclude artists work for their political views if they would just
."Shut up and sing" That's the title of a book, but it hits it right on the head. There are too many to list. I really don't care if they have substance abuse issues (many people do) or their sexual preferences, as long as they don't try to put themselves off as being knowledgeable about things they don't know anything about. There are many actors I won't watch because of their views. |

I listen to "extreme metal" so I doubt most have heard of this band or know anything about their political views, but Graveland: YouTube link Damon. |
| jpattern2 | 27 Sep 2012 7:39 a.m. PST |
I don't know the political views of many singers, unless they get IN YOUR FACE like Nugent, and I don't like his stuff to begin with. So I don't really know what I'd miss. |
| GypsyComet | 27 Sep 2012 7:41 a.m. PST |
"There are many actors I won't watch because of their views." I refuse to watch the ones who can't act. This means I don't watch many recent comedies. The only one I exclude for RL reasons is Tom Cruise. My list of singers I won't listen to for reasons of talent is already long enough. I have no need to add a test for politics. |

I must be a disagreeable guy, because I would save time if I only listed the names *left*. And don't forget that "Artist" includes authors, game designers, and mini sculptors. Ouch. But I am disregarding Tom Smith – and he's going to do the upcoming Ogre music

Too many to list. I also include manufacturers like Ben & Jerry. |

I stopped eating Ben and Jerry after I found out about them also. |

So, I am asking you to ONLY post an artist's (or group's) name with whom you DISAGREE 100% I really doubt I disagree 100% with anybody. I probably would avoid talking politics with Frank Sinatra and (I'm guessing) Julie London & Patsy Cline. A long time back some stupid nonsense that came out of Sinead O'Connor's mouth turned the hose on my enjoyment of her music. Actors and writers are more problematic for me
but nothing Clint Eastwood says is gonna have me turning off his movies. I'll pick one of his films over a Michael Moore movie every time. |

I will not listen to Rap for any reason, dont listen to boy bands ether. Hail Brothers, thank God for Manowar! Coabeous |

I don't know the politics of the artistes I enjoy, but if I limited myself, I'm sure I'd miss out. It would be like never watching Sean Connery because of his views of Scottish independance. |
