Sometime this week my computer must have made some update I can't figure out that is causing an issue with embedded videos.

I run Windows 7 and generally use IE8.

If I am on a website (like a forum) that allows users to post a YouTube video by embedding it in their post I now see a black box with a rde 'play' arrow in it. Click on it does nothing. There is something causing the script to not run correctly and I cannot figure out what. I've made no changes I can think of in the last week, and this started about 3 days ago. Previously the video would show up, I could press play and it would.

Anyone have any ideas? I updated Java and Adobe Flash.

Can you play videos on the actual Youtube site?

Can you play videos on other video sites? Vimeo, for example?

Can you play other flash content? Say, online games?

Yes, I can watch the video on YouTube (and other sites). It is something to do with it being embedded in a forum post from what I can tell, some script error/error is how my machine is handling the script?

Update: Issue has fixed itself. I did not make any setting changes nor did I knowingly apply any updates, but this evening the script runs fine for embedded videos.
