Well, even if ther is not much surf on the Susquehanna river or Harvey's Lake, we could still enjoy some good surfer music in NEPA. This one was always my favorite. Pipeline! YouTube link But as long as it is INSTRUMENTAL guitar surfer music, there is no wrong answer. |

"Surfing Bird", of course. Technically it's not an instrumental, but really, he's using his voice as an instrument: YouTube link |

I have about a dozen CDs of surfer music. Love that surf guitar! I'd probably have to go with "Misirlou" by Dick Dale and the Del-Tones: YouTube link I was a fan *way* before Tarantino used it in "Pulp Fiction," but I have to admit I had a big grin on my face when it started playing in the theater. |

I love The Ghastly Ones

and Martin Denny for after a hard day of surfing, at the Tiki bar. |

What, no fans of the Beach Boys? |
| jpattern2 | 04 Aug 2012 9:29 p.m. PST |
The Beach Boys had amazing harmonies and sang some excellent surfing songs, both originals and covers, but, personally speaking, I still think of them as more pop than true surf. I do love me some "Good Vibrations," though. |
