I've been on a med called Remeron which is an anti depressent, also used for Angsiaty and Panic attack, which I have, I've been on them for 9 years, but got finnaly fed up with them, forceing me to sleep 13-16 hours a day, never knowing when I'll wake up. Which makes going to school or having a job impossible, it also makes me super hungry, on a full doze I had two dinners a day, as well as almost continous snacking.

So a about a month ago, I started to feel lighter, everything was easier, I stopped to worry that much ect. so I thought it a good time to drop thise meds as I felt they held me back more then my actual medical problems.

I slowly dropped the dose lower and lower, and by about two weeks ago I was free of the pills, but now two weeks later the meds have cleardd my system, and the withdrawals have started, I'm supper dizzy, with leads to me beeing nausies, leads to me not eating, leads to me getting hunger headackes, that just makes me more dizzy makes me more nauses.

I have a small backup stash of valium, but it only calmes me down, dosn't actualy help with the dizziness or nausieness.
And I can only use them when things get to unbearable.

So yes, this conferms what all you have been thinknig Gunfreak is on meds.

So… the meds started working and you stopped using them?

You don't mention that you have taken medical advice over this; if you haven't suggest you do. Going off meds unilaterally can be a very dangerous practice.

"So… the meds started working and you stopped using them?"

The meds have been working for years, but they only take the edge of the symptoms, the reason I was feeling better was cognetive therapy.

I have talked to my doctor, but I have a big leeway on this, as I have taken my verious meds for so long I can feel when I need more or less, with the goal always beeing less.
I have informed my doctor I'm trying to drop the meds, so she knowes, and there is nothing unexpected happening, while other more exteme anti depressents can have deadly side effectts of you cut them of to soon, this drug is seen mostly as rather safe, you can't realy OD on them, and they are rather safe to stop, while others like cipramil can infact make you comit suicide if you stop the cold turkey.

The reason I have withdawals is that I've been on them for so long, far longer then I should have.

I was on anti-depressants-Effexor. If I took it with chocolate it acted like hashish, I would stare at the wall for hours. I told the Therapist and Psych that I wanted to stop and went cold turkey. No discernible side effects and clarity improved. Probably the reason why I switched from painting miniatures to just using paper figures. Can't do what I used to do.

I've been two months off soda (Pepsi, root beer etc) and feel a lot better.

Good luck Gunny. I feel blessed that I've never had to work that hard for my mental health. Although a lot of people say I should work harder.

Sounds like kind of hellish choice… your own body chemistry making war on you or some man-made cocktail crapshoot.
I've been told, by friends taking anti-depressants, that I would benefit a lot from some of that sort of medication… that I could find more motivation/ambition… but I've always felt that my depression is completely rational… there are real reasons for it vs. just being a mood.
Noticeably my pothead friends have also said I'd be a lot happier if I smoked some weed with them.

I think I'll stick to coffee for the time being.

Lots of folks are on meds; some more that others. I'm on meds.

I do trust you are working with your doctor on this and not trying "do-it-yourself". As unsatisfactory as some treatments are, it has taken decades to work them out and I would not recommend believing you can do better yourself starting from scratch with a test group of 1 and no control group. This does not make for good science.
