If you ever wanted to go to norway for som unknown reason. Now would be the time, from now on and the next 3 months, it will not really get dark. It's now 9 minutes to midnight, and it's not quite full darkness yet, during the nest half hour it will get dark, but it will only last about an hour, so by 1-1:30 it will be dawn.

I was out for a night pizza at 10:30 and it was no darker then a slightly overcast day. It's perfectly possible to not get any darkness, go to sleep around 11PM. at and get up any time after 1:30AM and you will have missed the night.

So if someone forces you to go to norway, now would be the time

Greetings

I remember a midsummer night in an Oslo hotel (not exactly northern Norway) was pretty light even in the early hours of the morning. Iceland is even more so.

How long does a winter night last?

Gunfreak03 Jun 2012 7:04 a.m. PST

About the same period, for about 2 months it's get dark around 3 PM and not light until 10:30 AM

But for some very od reason it some how feels like the summer last longer then the winter.

This is actualy getting kinda anoying, it's now 11 PM and it's light as day even tho it's over clounded to day. I was about to go out and by some grouceries when I realised the stores had closed.

I've already been to Norway. We were on deck at midnight off the North Cape and as Gunfreak says, it was as dark as an overcast day. Its a neat country – you should go if you get the chance. Someone once described it as reminding him of West Virginia of all things. (I think it was all the mountains and the small valley farms and towns.)

I think it feels like it lasts longer because we tend to be more active when there is light outside.
