Going Labor Day weekend. Where are 1 or 2 must try places?
Going to be three of us and we can eat. Also, might visit the Antietam battlefield as well so any help there would be useful.
Thanks!

I like the Lincoln Diner myself.

Pizza House!

For that classic college dive pizzeria feel. Lower your expectations…lower….lower….good! Its pizza and soda. Maybe beer (hey, I was driving!) Very bare bones place, but its off the normal tourist path.

Its a must when I visit.

I'm fond of the Dobbs House.

McKinstry, do you mean Dobbin House? That's my favorite place in Gettysburg to eat. The tavern downstairs though, I've not eaten in the restaurant upstairs.

While not IN Gettysburg, its close by, the Cashtown Inn is very good but pricier.

I'm hoping to go there for the 150th anniversary event next year,if able.

I've tried:

Dobbin House
Farnsworth House (I thought better than Dobbin House)
Cashtown Inn (Mr & Mrs Elmo stayed there)

Oh and the Plaza Restaurant which was fine but not historic.

There is also Hauser Estate and Reid's winery stores with samples!
